Guildenstern: Our names shouted in a certain dawn...a message...a summons...There must have been a moment where we could have said no. But somehow we missed it. Rosen-? Guil-? Well, we'll know better next time. Now you see me, now you- -Tom Stoppard, R&G Are Dead

I Hear You Knocking Down My Door...

    I Think I'm Cured...

    :: Tuesday, May 15, 2007 ::

So, I was looking at some celebrity playlists on iTunes, and it got me thinking about what my personal playlist would be. So, I offer you sixteen samples (Since they're usually around about that many) of what I think defines my taste in music.

    1. "Going to California" - Led Zeppelin
    2. "Deeper Into Movies" - Yo La Tengo
    3. "Don't Stop" - The Stone Roses
    4. "Concert for the Unification of Europe" - Zbigniew Preisner
    5. "Age of Consent" - New Order
    6. "Shampoo Suicide" - Broken Social Scene
    7. "Assessment" - The Beta Band
    8. "Like Spinning Plates" - Radiohead
    9. "Agaetis Byrjun" - Sigur Ros
    10. "California One/Youth and Beauty Brigade" - The Decemberists
    11. "Radio Free Europe" - R.E.M.
    12. "She Don't Use Jelly" - The Flaming Lips
    13. "Love and Some Verses" - Iron & Wine
    14. "Blown A Wish" - My Bloody Valentine
    15. "Semen Song for James Bigood" - Matmos
    16. "Banshee Beat" - Animal Collective

And I think that covers it in a nutshell. Not necessarily my sixteen favorite songs (I mean, Sufjan and The Postal Service aren't on the list, and that is far from my favorite REM song *cough*E-Bow the Letter*cough*), but the ones that are the best examples for the rest of my music.
