Guildenstern: Our names shouted in a certain dawn...a message...a summons...There must have been a moment where we could have said no. But somehow we missed it. Rosen-? Guil-? Well, we'll know better next time. Now you see me, now you- -Tom Stoppard, R&G Are Dead

    I Hear You Knocking Down My Door...

    I Think I'm Cured...

    Don't take my soul :: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 ::

    Ah...Wilmington is really nice. Except for that hurricane that came through and keeps coming around sporadically. I guess you could technically say I was in a hurricane yesterday.

    Thanks to that three hour drive, I managed to make a pretty decent amount of progress in Underworld, which is really good. I don't remember the page numbers, but I think that the best written passage (In terms of style) I've ever read is when DeLillo talks about the girl who films a man getting shot by the Texas Highway Killer. Everyone should go find Underworld, and then read this passage. It's between pages 150 and 200, I'm pretty sure, but it's an great passage.

    It was nice to find that their internet worked, too. I was able to check on blogs and their AIM takes my AOL screen name, so I was talking to Simon and Lauren from the P2P trip, then Andrew IMed me, the Margaret and then Jesse got on! Jesse had internet capabilities! So I had five conversations going at once. That was seizure inducing.

    Richard's oldest son, Richard Jr., caught six sharks off the coast of the beach here, and one of them was over six feet long. Do you think I'll be swimming here anytime soon? I think not.

    Ugh, I really should start doing at least some work on the MWDS's. Psht, that can wait. I've got a beach and nice weather to distract me, so Whiteside would have to understand...wouldn't he?

    Jesse and Simon: I told you I would put it in here. My only wish is that I could have put it in big, glaring neon lights.

    Also, I've had to listen to the Kim Possible theme songs more than I can bear. But as a good older surrogate brother, I swallowed my irritation and toughed it out. My brother, on the other hand, attempted to strangle Shannon. Ah, I love my brother. Now that shouldn't suggest that I love him for strangling Shannon, it should suggest that I love him for doing something that inappropriate and not seeing what was wrong with it.
