I Hear You Knocking Down My Door...

    I Think I'm Cured...

There's no reason for my mind to be still :: Wednesday, March 03, 2004 ::

My cat just did some weird flop off of the couch onto the floor.

    Hi!

Well, today was boring. English was the most bearable because of the fact we got Whiteside's view of the musical. See the quotes below.

Oh my god, White Noise is the best book EVER. Short sentences, one narrator, one PLOT...heaven. Simply heaven. I love it. It's really weird how my mind has been conditioned to Faulkner, and so when I'm reading White Noise I keep thinking "This is way too easy" and how it really has sunk in yet that Faulkner is OVER for the year and I never have to worry about him again. *Sigh*...heaven.

I slept under a blanket with my fan going last night. It was very relaxing. Also relaxing because I knew that at the same time others were still working on the MWDS....I was out by ten o'clock.

I want to do something. Something...just...something. Be in a play, do some club or something. At least with Macbeth, I had something else to do. Now, my life is school, and it's getting tedious, which is probably why I've been kind of, um, not wanting to do anything for school the past few weeks. Props for Rhino is something, but, after sitting in on one rehearsal, I kind of wish I was in it because I enjoy the rehearsal process and it seemed so much more fun than Macbeth. And then all the OM stuff is in high gear right now as is the Spring Musical and everybody around me is doing SOMETHING and I've been doing nothing since mid-October.

*Sigh*...but I have no homework tonight and that's good. That's always good. But I can't call anyone because everybody has something else to do and I am on an AOL boycott because I got on it for the first time in a while last night and it took five minutes for it to start up and five for it to finally close down and let me get off the computer and so I don't think I'll be using it anytime soon.

Wow...this turned out a lot more depressing then it should have been, because today really wasn't that bad. I somehow managed a 72 on the physics test (A LOT of lucky guesses) and, overall, I enjoyed it. But I guess that conversation I had in yearbook just made me think and realize how tedious junior year has become.

Anyways, I'm going to go take a nap or something. Read some Coupland, since I now have the time.

    Quotes of the Day

I learned that by teaching at Northwest, it's taxes, death and the Spring Musical
-Mr. Whiteside on things every person does before they die

I understand that next thursday and friday, the cast, crew, managers, friends, audiences, family members, and people found on the streets will be at Blumenthal
    -Mr. Whiteside

I used to fight [The Spring Musical]. People dropped out of the musical, they cried, they dropped out of school, they ran away to Tibet...
    -Mr. Whiteside

    Current Mood: Relaxed
Current Music: Jesus Christ Superstar - Everything's Alright
