Guildenstern: Our names shouted in a certain dawn...a message...a summons...There must have been a moment where we could have said no. But somehow we missed it. Rosen-? Guil-? Well, we'll know better next time. Now you see me, now you- -Tom Stoppard, R&G Are Dead

I Hear You Knocking Down My Door...

    I Think I'm Cured...

Everything looks perfect from far away :: Thursday, February 26, 2004 ::

Okay, I'm taking a break. There's no way we'll have school tomorrow, so...I'll do some work then.

    Otherwise...

    OH!

My Oscar category and predictions (Since I know they are SO interesting)

    And the nominees are...

Best Performance By An Inanimate Object

Uma Thurman's Tracksuit in Kill Bill, Vol. 1
The snorkel mask in Finding Nemo
The House in House Of Sand And Fog
Scarlett Johanson's Wig in Lost In Translation
The Rum in Pirates Of The Caribbean: Curse Of The Black Pearl

This is a tough year, so, while I decide what I think should win, here are the past winners:

2002: Nicole Kidman's Nose in The Hours
2001: The Ring in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
    2000: Wilson in Castaway
1999: The Roses in American Beauty
1998: The Tomato Quill Holder in Shakespeare In Love
    1997: The Iceberg in Titanic

Okay, after much deliberation (Meaning I looked up which of the five was the most talked about) the winner is...

Uma Thurman's Tracksuit in Kill Bill, Vol. 1

If this was based on personal preferance, The Rum would have won, but the tracksuit did get the most publicity.

    And onto the Oscar predictions-

    Best Picture
Will Win: The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Should Win: The Lord of the Rings: The Return on the King

    Best Director
    Will Win: Peter Jackson
    Should Win: Peter Jackson

    Best Actor
Will Win: At this rate, it'll be a tie between Bill Murray and Sean Penn
    Should Win: Johnny Depp

    Best Actress
    Will Win: Charlize Theron
Should Win: Uma Thurman (Yes, I know she wasn't nominated...but she still should win)

    Best Supporting Actor
    Will Win: Tim Robbins
    Should Win: Ken Wantanabe

    Best Supporting Actress:
    Will Win: Renee Zellweger
Should Win: Shoreh Aghdashloo (I want her to win so bad I can almost taste it)

Best Original Screenplay- Lost In Translation
    Best Adapted Screenplay- Mystic River
