Guildenstern: Our names shouted in a certain dawn...a message...a summons...There must have been a moment where we could have said no. But somehow we missed it. Rosen-? Guil-? Well, we'll know better next time. Now you see me, now you-

Whiteside is quite possibly the best teacher I've ever had. I love his class.
In any case, this is purely because of our lesson today on Invisible Man (Andrew, if you want to switch back in, now is the time!) because...well...he pretty much wanted to end today.
So...we get his gory explanation of Oedipus and how he had to keep stabbing his eyes to gouge them out and how they were running down his face like eggs (I shall never eat eggs again) and how big brooch needles are so how deep the needle would have had to go and how the blood would be mixed and...ugh.
Then we got to the incest scene. The scene itself is something where you read it the first time and go "Oh, that's incest." Upon the second time (And especially with Whiteside explaining it to you) you go "Oh. OH. OH!" It kind of hits you pretty quickly what exactly Ellison is describing and how...um...vividly he is describing it.
But then he had to say he didn't like Kill Bill so Alex and I both kind of stared and gasped.
Yearbook. It's just really stressing me out because the Foreign Language spreads are nowhere near finished. I'm hoping Andrew was able to finish at least the french storie because I had to leave early...in any case...deadline is next class and if we somehow meet it...well...I don't know. It probably will not happen, so I'm getting prepared.
Current Mood: Amused
Current Music: The Amadeus Soundtrack...great movie, by the way
