Guildenstern: Our names shouted in a certain dawn...a message...a summons...There must have been a moment where we could have said no. But somehow we missed it. Rosen-? Guil-? Well, we'll know better next time. Now you see me, now you- -Tom Stoppard, R&G Are Dead

    I Hear You Knocking Down My Door...

    I Think I'm Cured...

    :: Saturday, September 06, 2003 ::

    So...when did I last blog? Sara Johnson performed her song in theatre friday. Sara's a friend, so...for what that's worth. In any case, I knew she could act, but didn't know how well she could sing. No, not just sing, but more like SING. DAMN! The purpose was to pick a ballad-y type song and then sing it as if we were private, but in public. My mouth was almost literraly on the floor. I mean, she outperformed Caroline Fisher, who is amazing.

    Speaking of Caroline, the rehearsals between her and Karl for Macbeth are worth watching. This should be a good play.

    Went to the annual Yiasou Greek Festival in Charlotte yesterday with Jana, Andrew, Heidi and Elizabeth after rehearsal yesterday. It's like a Northwest convention! Everywhere you turn, somebody from Northwest. EVERYWHERE. Katie Goforth tried to steal Andrew, then went back to her typical group of friends, Reuben Bloom and his crowd. Katie is a friend, but she acted as though Andrew was the only person in our group. Some Northwest graduates were there, a few Macbeth people, Darcey Meus, Page Stevens, Haley hacker, Robin Fail, Cole Casserly...it was weird. And on the way out we ran into Margaret Upchurch and her group of friends. Interesting night.

    And then Jana got lost trying to get home! I was following her since she takes the same way home as I do and she got us lost! She did! All Jana's fault! And it's also Jana's fault we fell into the lake!

    Thespian Inductions are done. I'm a thespian. Yay.
