Guildenstern: Our names shouted in a certain dawn...a message...a summons...There must have been a moment where we could have said no. But somehow we missed it. Rosen-? Guil-? Well, we'll know better next time. Now you see me, now you- -Tom Stoppard, R&G Are Dead

    I Hear You Knocking Down My Door...

    I Think I'm Cured...

    :: Friday, July 04, 2003 ::

    Ran into Jazmin Black at Border's today.

    Got another Douglas Coupland book. The depression-fest continues. Oh yay.

    Have found myself being very sluggish and absent-minded today. Insomnia? A symptom? A side effect? Duh.

    Mom wanted me to drive to Border's. Told her no way, I'd fall asleep at the wheel.

    Wanted to go see a movie, mother wanted to see Legally Blonde 2. You see where that went.

    It wasn't that bad. It was a cute movie. Nothing to get excited over. Just a fun waste of an hour an thirty minutes. Not particulary funny (It's, sadly, true: All the good parts were in the trailer). Oh well...end of the year movies are coming soon (The season officially starts in October! It's like my football or basketball season. It starts in October and ends whenever the Best Picture Oscar is handed out) and so is Russian Ark.

    Downloading a CD by The Thorns. Good group, good songs.

    Then I'm going to sleep long and hard.

    Going to Charleston tomorrow at 11 AM. See you in a week. Hopefully I won't be an insomniac any more.

    Okay, it's (un)official: I have insomnia. I was up until 4:30 last night TRYING MY DAMNDEST to go to sleep. Soft music, pitch black, I took a fucking Benadryl! This makes seven nights in a row where I have been up until 3 o'clock or later, plus, I'm dreaming every night, and when you dream, your mind isn't resting (Or something to that effect) so it's like I was awake during that part. Let's also not forget that I keep waking up at 9 o'clock. So I'm dead tired right now, but I'm trying not to sleep so I actually might be able to get some quality sleep tonight. This sucks.

    I had teacher dream 4 and 5 last night. In the first one, I'm pulling into a driveway with my mom. Jennifer Doolidge (Best In Show, A Mighty Wind) comes out of the house and says hello. my mom says to get my suitcases because Shoobie will be here soon. Then Donna (My mom's best friend) comes out of the backyard to say hello. I then remember I forgot something, so I tell my mom I'm going back to our house to get it (Apparently, our house was very close to Jennifer's) Anyways, as I'm walking up the street, I see Mr. Jackson, my english teacher, sitting on the side of the road, and I thought I recognized him, so I walk over, say I didn't know he lived in my neighborhood. He says, yeah, and can he talk to me. So we go back to my house and he tells me he wants to take me to this seminar where Beatrice (?) is giving talks on brain activity. Then I woke up.

    When I FINALLY got to sleep (4 hours later) I'm at a basketball court and Mrs. Monjimbo is talking to me. That's all I remember.

    Ugh!

    Oh, happy fourth.
